There was no small stir about 'That way' and a riot was started the people of Ephesus were completely stirred about this story of Paul turning people from the gods made by hands to the living God, and Demitrius and the other craftsmen who were loosing lots of money! The people of the city brought Paul the apostle to the theatre and some were screaming something and some other something else. Then when they knew that Paul was a Jew, they started to shout for two hours 'Great is Diana of the Ephesians'

The townclerk said that if Demitrius has a matter against Paul the law is open and there are deputies, and to people to go back home because they could be arrested for this uproar! Indeed, the real preaching of God's Word always brings opposition and does not leave people indifferent!
