All videos -Audio-bible - In second Timothy, the apostle Paul talks about unfeigned faith being in Timothy, and his mother Eunice. This element, that God has given to all us us in different measures, but that we need to developp, is one of the three greatest thing for a christian, that is: faith, hope, love! Faith is first mentions in the list of 1 CO chapter thirteen! Being originally from France, what i see in some people is such a lack of faith in God that it astonishes me! In fact not so much because before i was a christian i has not even the faintest idea that God did exist! In fact i was a rock and roll boy in Los angeles california, listening to the rock and roll lyrics and building hate against christians!
But now having known Jesus christ, i see very clearly that God exist, and for that one must have faith. Why? Because the existence of God cannot be proven. But also the non existence of God has never been proven! So belief in God can only come through faith! Through the years i have seen many experiences, many proofs that God exists. God has manifested Himself to me in many instances so that there is no doubt that God exists, healing, and miracles and freedom from troubles and sufferings. Times when i was in extremity and God moved to help me!
But the faith the Bible speaks about is not merely fait in the existence of God. The christian is way past this stage! The milk has long been given up and now the meat of the Word has been taken! When situations are basn when finances are low, like it is happening to me right now, when loneliness strikes your life. When people around you hate you for no reason. Whe you have all your friends forsake you! When you have people who work for you and church members who steal from you and manipulate people around you to hurt you and say that you are the one that did wrong! Sometimes we can say: why do i continue with Jesus? I have no money, i have no job, i have no friends, i have to love! But Jesus is proving you to see the motive for which you are serving Him! Are you serving Jesus only because you are blessed in his presence, and not only you feel the love of the Holy Spirit, but you are blessed materially and socially? God is checking your motive for wanting to go to heaven. Do you want to go to heaven for the streets of gold? For the free food? For being in a place where you will not have to sweat to make money? Or do you want to go to heaven because you want to see the one that loves you so.
