These two amazingly important profetic books go hand in hand to explain some meaning that is hard to understand in the other. Daniel was a young men, taken captive by king Nebuchadnezzar from Jerusalem to Babylon.
The sins of Israel were too much and God brought the King of Babylon to punish his people. Why does God punish? So that his people can see the sins they are comiting and come back to the loving heart of Jesus! Daniel chapter one tells about all the young people in Babylon's court were eating the flesh of the king and the dainties. But Daniel and his three friends purposed in their hearts not to defile themselves with the king's meat!
In Babylon the Jews could see things that were served at the table that they only saw in the woods of crawling on the floor. The Jews, and still today the Bible forbids the eating od swin and scavengers. The bibel continues to tell us that because Daniel purposed in his heart not to defile himself, when king Nabuchadnezzar called them to him and questioned them, he found them ten times more wise then the other young people! Daniel were mostly eating a vegetarian diet. Can a vegetarien diet make you more wise? Yes indeed, it is proven that intelligence and wisdom is a lot greater eating a vegetarian diet.
