Seems very unbiblical but we need to understand that Solomon was the wisest man that ever lived on earth! Most of God, we do not understand on this earth. God's thoughts are way above out thoughts. There is no limit to God's intelligence and wisdom! Solomon was asked of God to ask Him one thing whatever he wanted and it would be granted him. Solomon could have chosen anything, but as a young men, his heart was very close to God's heart and he saw the multitudes in Israel and he felt unable to lead and be king of Israel! Then God told Solomon, because you did not ask me for the death of your enemies or riches, riches will be increased for you like there has never been riches in Israel! What an amazing thought! God asking one of his creature to ask him anything and granting a lot more than he asked and giving lovingly above what Solomon could ask of think! This book of Eclesiastes is extremely profound, So profound that no man who ever lived on the earth had more wisdom than Solomon! All is vanity, the work, the chasing for money, the pelasures, the extreme looking for holiness, the thoughts perish! All come to one place when we die. All the money goes back to someone else.  Our eyes are not full of seeing! Then Solomon ends by saying one thing counts: Fear God and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of men!
