Queen Esther was not supposed to marry outside of the Jewish faith. Some people think that Queen Esther did not have a choice but to sleep with King Ahasuerus, but this is not so, women always have the choice to sleep with someone except when rape happens. If a women sleeps with a man, it means that she was conscenting. In this case King Ahasuerus tries many different women, one women per night to find out which one he would like best and who would be the best lover.
When it came to Esther's turn she went to the bedchamber of the king, and King Ahasuerus was amazed at Esther's lovemaking capabilities! He choose her for wife! Naman who was in leadership position hated the Jews, because when he passed by in the streets of Suza, Mordecai would not bow down to him, following the Bible commandment that says that we should not worship anyone else besides God!
Naman went to see King Ahasuerus and told him that some people in the kingdom were not following his rule and were rebelious and were to be killed. King Ahasuerus accepted and the decree went out. The book of Esther has ten chapters and talks about the story of Mordecai who has an adoptive daughter, and when King Ahasuerus wanted to do away with his current wife, and found Esther. Nahman the king's main counselor hated the Jews and made a decree to kill them all. Esther risked her life to save her people! And Naman was killed.
