After completing his collegiate biblical studies, Romero served as a pastor in Van Nuys, CA, while completing seminary. Shortly thereafter, Romero felt God's call to plant a church in Aguaprieta Sonora, which would come to be called Amistad y Vida. Throughout his years of ministry, he has also consistently written songs and led worship in the congregations that he served. In 1990, Romero began to record these songs, in hopes of sharing his message of peace and hope with a larger audience. With eight records to his credit, the most recent released on his own label, Vastago Productions, Romero continues to challenge and inspire Latino Christian communities with his emotional, gospel-driven music.
